Store Policies

PLEASE READ BEFORE PURCHASING ANY PRODUCTS

I) Payment Policy:

    * Payments can be made by Paypal or major credit cards including Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. All credit cards will be process through Paypal's secure on-line terminal. Please note as per Paypal's policy Chowrentoys.com will only ship out orders with payments that have been verified by Paypal. If you are sending a payment that is unverified or unregistered from Paypal we will cancel it and ask that you send it again using an account that has been verified by Paypal. If your address is unconfirmed we will email you and will only ship your order out after you have emailed back confirming with us your shipping address.

II) Returns Policy:

    * Chowrentoys.com will accept returns for refund or exchange within 30 days of you receiving your parcel. You must contact us first at sale@chowrentoys.com before a return order can be processed. We will ONLY accept returns when the item(s) have not been opened or played with. Return item(s) must be kept and shipped in the same condition as when received by the buyer. For orders with free shipping please note we will refund the full purchase amount MINUS the shipping paid by us to ship the item(s). In order to expedite the return process please include your name, email address, order number / RMA number along with the returned shipment. Chowrentoys.com will not be responsible for any delays in the return process caused by missing information. If you are returning an item because of missing or broken parts or pieces please contact LEGO Customer Service for replacements. For more information please see our Help Center section on missing parts.

    * Merchandise paid with Paypal will be refunded through Paypal. Merchandise paid with credit card will be refunded to the credit card. Refund payment will be made ONLY after returned item(s) have been received and inspected. Please note all merchandise will be refunded in full MINUS shipping and handling as well as any taxes associated with the shipping and handling. Chowrentoys.com can't refund shipping and handling since item(s) have already been shipped. Buyer is also responsible for the return freight cost.  Please keep this in mind when returning.

    * Exchange of merchandise will be made ONLY after returned item(s) have been received and inspected. Please note any merchandise will be credit in full MINUS shipping and handling as well as any taxes associated with the shipping and handling. Chowrentoys.com cannot credit shipping and handling since item(s) have already been shipped.  Buyer is also responsible for the return freight cost.  There will also be new shipping and handling charges for shipping of exchanged goods. Please keep this in mind when exchanging.

III) Sales Tax:

    * US Sales Taxes - Products sold by Chowrentoys.com and shipped to destinations in Washington are subject to sales tax.  Chowrentoys.com does not collect sales taxes for destinations outside of Washington state.  The buyer maybe responsible for paying local use or sales taxes.  Please check with your local authorities.

    * How is sales tax calculated - Washington law requires us to calculate sales tax on the total selling price.  The total selling price of an order will generally include summary prices of each item, shipping and handling charges, discounts and gift-wrap charges.

    * Tax rate - The rates that applied to your order will generally be the combined state and local rate for the address where your order was shipped.  Please note, the sales tax rate applied to your order may be different for an order shipped to your home address than it is for an order for the very same items shipped to your work address.  Our store software will uses sales tax rates from a leading tax rate service provider.

    *  Estimated taxes - When you place an order we will give you an estimated sales tax rate.  The reason is that many factors can change between the time you place an order and the time of payment authorization.  The amount appearing on your order as Estimated Taxes may differ from the sales taxes ultimately charged  For example, tax law changes may occur between order placement and payment authorization that could result in an increase or decrease in taxes charged.

    *  International taxes - For all international buyers (anyone outside of United States) please note you are responsible for all the Duty, Custom, Value Added Tax (VAT), Goods and Services Tax (GST) and/or any other imported or related levies imposed by your country. Chowrentoys.com DOES NOT collect any taxes and/or levies. We do not have information on the levies specific to your country. Your local carrier will collect the necessary taxes from you before they release the parcel. Please obtain all these information from your government before making your purchase. For our integrity and your protection Chowrentoys.com WILL NOT fill out false information on the customs form. Any under reporting of the value might result in confiscation of the parcel by your local customs office.

IV) Privacy Policy

Use of Information - At Chowrentoys.com we are committed to protecting your privacy. We will not collect any personal information about you except when specifically and knowingly provided by you. We use the information you provided only to process orders. Examples of the kind of information we collect include your name, postal address, e-mail address and phone number.

Telephone numbers provided on-line will only be called by
Chowrentoys.com if there are questions relating to your specific order or by shipping company needing to contact you regarding the delivery of your parcel. Order confirmation as well as shipment confirmation will only be sent via email.  

When you provide us with information about yourself while purchasing our products or registering for our services, you agree to allow us to place you on our customer list and send you communications via e-mail about special offers, new products, and/or new services. If you would prefer to opt out on any promotional offers, new products or services please send us an email at info@chowrentoys.com. Personal information maybe be updated or removed at any time by contacting us.

Disclosure of Information - We do not sell, rent or trade our customer information to any third parties. At times, we may provide aggregate statistics about our customers, sales, traffic patterns, and related Web site information to reputable third-party vendors. These statistics, however, will not include any of our customer’s personal information.

Your Consent - By using our web site, you agree to our collection and use of personal information as detailed in this policy. If we change our privacy policy, we will post those changes on this page so that you are always aware of what information we collect, how we use it and under what circumstances we disclose it to others.

Chowrentoys.com does not and will not sell, trade or rent your personal information to others.

V) Shipping Policy:

    * Shipping Time - Most orders received before 12:00PM will ship the same day, provided the product ordered is in stock. Most orders received after 12:00 PM will ship the next business day. Orders are not processed or shipped on Saturday, Sunday or holidays. Please note, during the holiday seasons our processing time maybe slightly longer. We cannot guarantee when an order will arrive. Delivery time provided by USPS or FedEx is only an estimate unless guaranteed by the courier. We encourage you to order in a timely fashion to avoid delays caused by shipping or product availability.

    * Insurance - In keeping with the industry standards, all parcels from Chowrentoys.com now come fully insured. Please keep in mind when filing an insurance claim you are required to sign the affidavit from the insurance company and that it may take up to 30 days for our insurance company to resolve the claim. We will not be able to offer a refund or send out replacement products (if we have them) until the claim is resolved. Often the package is just delayed in transit and is taking longer than expected.

    * Multiple Purchases - Chowrentoys.com will ALWAYS combine shipping for all buyers. If you do make multiple purchases please wait for our invoice as we will need to figure out the combined shipping charge for you.

    * Handling Fees - Chowrentoys.com shipping rates are slightly higher than actual shipping cost due to our handling fees. With it you will get well packed parcels and tracking numbers for all parcels. Our goal at Chowrentoys.com is to make sure you get your item(s) in the same condition as when it left our facilities. In terms of shipping material we try to use new material whenever possible. However when none are available we will use recycled shipping boxes that are in good condition. We generally use new boxes and padded envelopes for first class mail. Often we will use the free materials we receive from USPS for domestic Priority Mail parcels. PLEASE NOTE: OUR SHIPPING AND HANDLING RATES ARE NON NEGOTIABLE.
